Lucie Lamy 1908 - 1984
Daughter of Jeanne GERMAIN (Isha) and Georges Lamy, LUCIE never married, but stayed with her mother and followed her in her Mediterranean journeys. When the Schwaller moved to Egypt in search of Pharaonic symbolism, she put her exceptional drawing talent to Aor's service to take surveys and to trace Luxor Temple's inscriptions. Her passion for Egypt, her mentality, her story never faltered and in difficult times she gave Aor the energy and courage that were lacking. She particularly enjoyed discovering scenes from everyday life, that she reproduced with a sure and delicate touch. On the death of her parents, she bought a house in Thoronet (Provence) where she ended her days among their memories and their works. READ MORE…

This chair and other models were probably designed by Lucie and were part of the furniture in Mas Coucagno.
The association was created to collect and preserve Aor and Isha's archives and memories. At the death of Lucie in 1984, everything will be bequeathed to the Coubertin Foundation which will take more than 20 years to settle this estate ...
